2009 Clifford Bay Awatere Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Pungent with sweetly perfumed fruit. Gooseberry and citrus with understated melon on the plate. Ripe and well-structured with good floral character and a nicely balanced finish. Very pleasing.

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc at it's finest. The bouquet is pure Awatere - lifted, with intense, ripely herbaceous aromas and a hint of tomato stalk. Mouthfilling, fresh and finely balanced, it has tropical fruit and green capsicum flavours, delicate and rich.

90 POINTS A terrific wine and a stunning value, this wine shows very expressive aromas and flavors, with notes of dried herbs, grated citrus rind, ripe grapefruit and capsicum. the acidity is very energetic but ripe and not at all tart and the balance of fruit sweetness to citric acidity is just right.
